How to use SNAP at BisMarket

Visit a BisMarket vendor and select the SNAP eligible items you want to purchase.

The vendor will give you a receipt for your items. Take this to the BisMarket info booth.

BisMarket will run your EBT card for the SNAP eligible items.

You will receive up to $15 in Beet Bucks.
-
Take your EBT card receipt to the vendor to complete the purchase and pick up your items.
What items are SNAP eligible?
SNAP-Eligible Items:

Breads
-
Cereals
-
Fruits
-
Vegetables
-
Meat, fish, poultry

Dairy products

Eggs
-
Honey
-
Seeds/plants which produce food

Jam/jelly

Canned food

Snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages not meant to be consumed at market
BisMarket matches each SNAP dollar spent with our nutrition incentive, Beet Bucks, up to $15 per family per market.
Beet Bucks will be given to SNAP participants who make a purchase for every $1.00 spent on SNAP-eligible items in $1.00 increments.
Beet Bucks can only be used to purchase fruits or vegetables (no added sugar, fat, salt).
What items are NOT SNAP eligible?
Non-eligible Items:

Beer, wine, liquor

Pet food/pet items

Soap/lotion

Paper products
-
Household supplies

Vitamins/medicines/supplements

Food that will be eaten on site and/or served with utensil

Hot/cold foods

Non-alcoholic beverages sold in cups to drink on site

Cut or potted flowers
Beet Bucks Incentive Eligible Items:

Fruit or vegetables that have not been altered nutritionally (no added sugar, salt, fat)

No jams/jellies, no pickled vegetables

Preserved fruits or vegetables can be used, if no preservatives added
